Slide Show: Owl Kill Site. This slide show is a compilation of photos and entries made for January 20-22, 2008 in this blog. I have deleted the separate blog entries, but you can always access this slide show from the “Slideshows” category in the right-hand column of the web site. As a side note…Even though we call this a “Kill Site”, we aren’t really sure if the owl was successful. It may have been detecting a fish or beaver under the ice, and not a rodent. We will never know. By the time I was able to go outside and investigate during the daytime, the wind-blown snow had obliterated all tracks and trails on the ice.
