Happy Spring: The high temperature was 67.5F today. WOW! We were really feeling the heat! Our first crocuses are in bloom, robins are cavorting about in a bit of a mating ritual, the purple finches are in residence at our feeder, and Drew saw the first slate-colored junco visit our yard. Bufflehead ducks are bobbing up and down on the pond surface.  On the insect front, I saw my first mourning cloak butterfly, and some tiny bees buzzing around the flowers. I did not have our camera to photograph everything mentioned above, but you can be sure that many photos will be forthcoming as the season progresses into summer.
