Lenticular Clouds over Caesar Pond: I was so excited when I stepped outside of school and saw these clouds. It took us 30 minutes to get home and I was chomping at the bit to grab the camera and run to the pond to take some photos. I was excited as I thought they looked like lenticular clouds (which we have seen previously in Colorado). After looking in one of my cloud reference books, I found that lenticular clouds form near mountainous areas. Well, we don’t have any mountains in our neck of the woods, but the White Mountain range is not too far as the crow flies. I think there are also stratocumulus clouds mixed in. Many thanks go to Walter Gregg for helping me identify the clouds.
