1ST SNOW STORM HAS BEGUN: The first snow plow of the season rolled on by at 5:15 am. Schools in the entire state of Maine are closed. You know the storm is serious because the local NBC news crew is wearing their stormy day sweaters. What a goofy, but loveable group of people.
Three snow mobiles just went racing down the road at high speed. They’ve got the vehicle of choice on a day like this when the roads are slippery with snow.
HOURLY SNOW TOTALS: (Taken from the table top on the front deck). The reasoning for this work is to show students the change in pressure as a storm approaches and rolls on through. We are studying the relationship between temperature, pressure, and molecular motion in my 9th grade Earth Systems Science course.
