ICE ON THE POND: We had the first film of ice form on the pond overnight. It was cold enough all day that there is still a bit of ice remaining this evening. I believe that the ice will be melted by tomorrow morning however, as we are supposed to warm up overnight to a balmy 37F with a bit of rain thrown in to boot! Drew also saw some “ice whiskers” in some heaved up ground on the snow mobile trail where there had been some moisture trapped under the surface soil. NOTE: The host for our web site has changed options to allow us to back-fill slide shows into the dates the photos were taken. Because we had about 2000 photos to sort through over these last few weeks, we were not able to post as regularly as we had hoped. So…if you go back in time down this page and you will find some new slide shows (Nov. 5 Bailey Island Maine, Nov. 4 Popham Beach Post Storm Surf, Oct. 27 ‘Shrooms ‘N Things and Autumn Leaves). We hope you enjoy our recent photos.
