Weather Update: Yesterday was the first day that the feeling of Autumn was truly in the air. The temp. was in the mid-60s with humidity in the low 50s. The angle of the sun is changing and the evening light is different, becoming more pearly than uber bright in the afternoon. I actually had to wear jeans and a sweatshirt when working in the garden.
Garden Update: I pulled up the tomato plants that were struck with the “grunge”, aka blight. The tomatoes were all rotting on the stem. UGH…So, the upshot of the tomato harvest is that I have picked just a couple of cherry tomatoes this summer. Speaking of harvest…There is not a single cucumber on the vines, and the squash have flowers only, no fruit…
