Rain: When will it end…when will it finally end?…..More rain and clouds…We are craving sunshine…
Chainsawing across the universe: At least that’s what it sounds like behind our house. The neighbors may be starting the cutting from their house south through the woods to their other access point. I sincerely hope none of their felled trees take any of ours out as we don’t have many live ones to spare in our sorta swampy area out back. Ugh…I stand on our property and watch as...
Sunshine has returned 6 hours later: Yippee…sunshine, and soon to come moonshine (of the celestial kind), until the rain returns tomorrow morning.
Sunshine Update 5 minutes later: The sun was out…the sun was out…The sky is now completed clouded over.
Sunshine: There is sunshine peeking out of the clouds periodically today. Yippee!
Weather Update: Another cloudy day is upon us. We are at a high of 69F today, and are set to get a surge of wet weather coming up the coast from Florida tonight into tomorrow. Ugh…In fact, our high temp. tomorrow will be 64F, and we are in the zone to potentially receive between 2-4 inches of rain. No wonder my vegetable garden hasn’t grown much this summer!
Flower Garden: I took our camera into the flower garden to capture a few shots of the daylilies, and found a bonus…hoverflies mating…
Turkey: We rarely see turkeys in our yard, and have never before seen one at the bird feeder, although they have probably been there before. So, you can imagine our surprise upon seeing a turkey this morning. Unfortunately, we were only able to get three good photos of her due to the early morning hour and the shade cast by the maple tree. Enjoy!
Pond Update: I went for a paddle on the pond to capture a few more plant and animal photos for my diary. I had a good day as you will see in the following 8 photos.
Caesar Pond Plants: This morning I spent 3.5 hours paddling on the pond taking photos of bog plants. I am always amazed at the changes that occur on an almost daily basis as different species come into bloom. There are 15 plant photos in this series.
